There seems to be small slits or cuts developing around one of my AGs. They are about no longer than half an inch and they are causing the pumpkin to bleed out sticky sap. I was wondering if this should cause any concern? I wiped the whole pumpkin with chlorox and water 1/10 part. Please help asap.

Where on the pumpkin are the slits developing? near the stem?

slitting oozing and canteloping are normal with the cold weather we have been having, as it makes the skin mature very rapidly

also known as growth spurts dont worry normal, unless the slit gets wider, and is not healing with sap, and dont be wiping the sap out unless it rotting, the sap is the way it heals itself, like 400 SF said canteloping, or netting is normal.
