I don't remember the last time I heard about this seed. Does anybody know how it's doing? Tom

I've got one near 600 pounds. It started off great with vigorous growth, but fizzled after pollination. Putting on only 10 pounds a day...it might get to 700 pounds.

There have been very similar results with the 1354 (the mother of the 1469) this season.. Huge early vigor but after about 3-400 pounds it drops off to 10 pounds a day. Wierd how this has happened to this genetic strain.

My 1469 started out of the blocks great untill I burnt my main vine and stump up covering it with compost( Fusarium I think). I grew it to over 300lbs before it took over my entire plant. My 1354 shut down at around 500lbs,one day it was doing 33 lbs a day then overnight it was doing 9 lbs. I keep thinking my soil is way out of wack in this area and is most likely missing something. There is a reason it shut down like this. The soil has to be missing something that caused this.Rock dont know it yet lol,but Im going to compare my soil samples with his this year to see if this plant needs something extra special to keep that early pace up and to continue to grow like that untill october. I have never seen a plant start out that fast and get so big that early beore.

Oh, my guess is that Larry or Gerry grow their 1354 to over 1000lbs this year, my guess is their soil isnt missing or just has alot more of something eles(above average) then of what Rock and I have in our soil. Just a wild guess though. Sorry to get off the subject a bit Tom.

We had a beautiful plant but slow growing plant. Got tons of pumpkins on the side vines. Didn't get a pumpkin on the main until the beginning of August. Decided to stay with one on a side vine. Not setting the world on fire but still growing steadily everyday. Nights are getting way to cold here, don't expect this to be a big one either
