Here are links to the two news videos from the fair weigh-off yesterday.
Channel 2 - http://www.wkrn.com/node/45325#top
The story and play button are in the middle of the page.
They have a good story about the winning pumpkin, even showing them getting it out of the field.

Scroll down a little and you will see their video list – click by the 1000-lb pumpkin

He, he, he,,,,, The not-so-people-oriented lady in charge of the crops building at the Dickson fair - was trying to GLOAT that there was a larger pumkin than mine..Of course this was after she had expounded about the fact that 'everyone' had field pumpkins that grew larger than my 'giants' - but they had all rotted.... He, he, he... Then she seemed to be trying to intimidate me by saying a 'bunch of people' were going to grow big ones for next year...
I guess it was a real let-down to her when I congratulated her in generating all the interest - and told her that I sincerly HOPED she'd have to rent a forklift for next year's fair...
I guess people don't understand it when someone grows something just outt've sheer curiosity - not for bragging rights....sigh.....
