How important is this?? We are having rain the next 2 days besides today, and I have a bedsheet canopy over on and just cover the other with towels. Each night after the rains I end up throwing 4 sopping wet towels/throws/sleeping bags, etc. into the dryer. Will the wetness make the temperature lower on my pumpkin, or does it matter???

A. Yes, the temperature of the Pumpkin will drop if you have cool/cold rain.
B. If you have even the slightest amount of stem, Blossom End or damage in general to the Pumpkin not keeping it dry will send it into a downward spiral into a state of rot. However, if the Pumpkin is faultless just let it get wet if you have to.

cover with sleeping bag, and put pastic tarp over that should keep her warm, and dry make sure the platic tarp covers the untire slepping bag if you have any bugs wont hurt to spray a little contact bug killer on fruit then cover.

Thanks for all the suggestions. When I get home this afternoon we are going to put up some tarps. I was also thinking of putting the tarps over the sleeping bag for the one. I don't really have any bugs crawling around my pumpkin other then those pill bugs/wood lice, whatever you want to call them, and an occasional spider or earwig. I hope they don't harm my pumpkin in any way. The rain is supposed to clear today and we may get back into the 80's for the weekend.
