About 10 days ago, I pulled a couple of my A.G. plants up by the roots. One set of vines I left lay in a pile in the garden. As I was pulling the vines out of the garden, I noticed that there were several, what appeared to be, recently pollinated fruit, a couple of the females appeared to have opened today. One fruit might have put on about 5 lbs. since I pulled the vines. Many of the leaves still looked green and relatively healthy. This gets me thinking.......I wonder if uprooting an A.G. plant about 7-10 days before a weighoff would result in a push of reserve energy/food into the fruit. Of course this could be risky(might cause splits). I wouldn't try it on a fruit that is still gaining on the OTT measurements. But maybe on a fruit that has appeared to stop growing. Just something to think about. If someone tries this, I declare myself non-responsible for any negative consequences.
