Hello...and Help!! I have a 67 day old fruit whose stem is always wet..not from outside sources but seemingly from the inside. There are little cracks all around the stem on the pumpkin but there are no splits on the stem..it's just WET! What should I do, if anything?
  Thankyou!! Autumnleaf

Power the stem with sulfer powder to discourage rot from starting and get a fan on it if you can. If you can't get a small fan on it, make sure there is good air circulation and try to get some direct sun on it every day if possible. A wet stem is inviting trouble.

Thanks!...I went out and trimmed a few leaves on the west side for more airflow, sprayed the stem and surrounding area with a bleach solution and then applied Grant's Sulfer Dust. I'll go to Walmart and see if I can find a cordless fan.

24V cooling fan for 'putor tower with a 12V battery ,,fans cost well under $10 and if you have the battery it will run that fan for weeks,,works for me!
