Am I the only one that feels angry when he says the only thing more enjoyable than seeing a pumpkin that size. Is seeing the local hoodlums take a baseball bat to it. All the non pumokin peiople laugh and I am left saying thats wrong...very wrong.

I would love to see a commercial for that. It would be awsome. I would love to see the likes of Jim Kuhn and the wallaces in the clip with their pumpkins. It would be so unique and laughable. Nice find.

I have to side with Shannon on this one. The commercial starts off ok, but the part about smashing it just seems to irk me every time I hear it.

I agree it only serves to seem its OK to smash it with a bat but its still someone elses property....hopefully we dont have any copy cats out there.

This same Bud Light commercial was mentioned on these Message Boards either late last year or earlier this year. I, and i think Shannon, commented on the negative aspects of this advert back then. If anyone can find that thread please refresh our memories by posting the link on this thread.

Hit it with a baseball bat??? I think I'd break my wrists sooner than I would make a dent in a solid giant.

The baseball bat vandalism part is quite disturbing! I don't know what this world is coming to. I may not eat supper tonight......unless it's something tasty.

Oh well,
WOW, i am kinda suprised at the negative reaction. I thought it was funny.......Yes, Of course some one destroying a pumpkin that someone else worked very hard at and has great pride in is wrong big time. AND, i would never like to hear about it happening to anyone. But this was done in fun. So take it at it face value. It is not trying to rally people against pumpkin destruction.
For those who did not like it, i apologize for bringing it up again (didnt know it was linked before).

I was just joking in my post Dave. No apology needed IMO.

There should be a sequel the the comercial of what happened the the pumpkin smashers after the grower/ growers got their hands on them for the smashing the giant fruit after which the grower/ growers celebrated with a cold one...Had a big one of mine vandalized last season and it was no where funny at all after all of the hard work. Can't wait for the motion picture part of it.......

I second that and we could gather and toast with a bud....lol......4 years ago found my 300lb at the end of my sidewalk dropped and in two pieces......it was alot easier to put back on the porch that year and the squirrel liked it too as he bored a hole in the side and removed all the seeds.....this was before I knew of weighoffs and the like....but us city folk have to really watch out, I have had the kins pulled out of the patch still on the vine one shouldnt need to put barbwire around the patch....last year was the first year I actually had them left alone & since theyre smaller this year Im worried Ill lose the seeds. Still a decent commercial though.....kids will be kids.....I love to see the disbelief from the youngsters trick or treating when they touch the giant pumpkins :)

How can we take offense to a year-old commercial about "Real men of genius" when they can't even brew "real beer"?

It's a cute ad, but the "beer" tastes like snake pi$$. LOL

If you want to get back at those vandles, rig up some way of getting your pumpkin in the garage at night. Then leave a bunch of carved howdens out there on your front pourch. Lastly cover the pumpkins in Karo ( corn syrup) syrup. You can also add something incredibly rank on the pumpkins like cat poop or something else. Just be sure you use a stick so you don't become the victum.

You could also rig up a electric fencer up to the pumpkins. Those vanddles will be in for the shock of thier life.

oh and if you can aford it get one of those game cammeras so you can catch the vanddles in the act. Then you'll have a video to show to your pumpkin buds.
