Not to stir up the pot here, it's really not my style, but... How can a 6 yr old grow a 990.6 lb fruit on his own? This is a farce, it's probably a cute story, but tell me how this child tilled the patch and applied fertilizers and possibly fungicides and pesticides? Must have taken quite a bit to weed the patch with those tiny hands..... Is this child that gifted? Come on folks, every season there is another outragious story, and mike how can you promote this? Where is the GPC when you need it? GS

ive just seen your posting as regards young daniel, what a way to encourage young uns to this hobby.now i dont know if daniel grew this all by himself but who cares he actively helped in its care.my 11 year old grows his own pumpkins and no i dont let him use the rotovator its too big and dangerous,i also dont let him apply any chemicals either.now are you saying that he shouldn't claim his pumpkins as his own.a bit of competition from the young uns is nothing to be scared about.this is my 3rd year now and i still haven't beat him yet, maybe this year though lol.peter
