Yep! Four years of soil building and the Reiss 1233.5 seed did it. 763.6 Gipe is posted in the diary and will show soon. It will be carved on public display. We will post the carving later.
Unfortunately there was a Pennsylvania Black Bear that tried to run me over on the way home. My car is messed up a bit but the bruin gave his all. Could'nt even get it for a bear rug at the cabin. No one wanted to help toss it up on the trailer. It was nice two guys stopped to be sure I was OK. I might add that moving 200 lbs of black bear is somewhat like trying to load a truck load of loosely piled jello. Went back this AM with help but the bear rug will likely be in another hunter's cabin. It was picked up by others. :))

Congrats Doc!!!! Personal best is great news. Sorry about the bear though, glad to see that you are ok. We hope the car is ok also. Jerry Jr also says it is a great job and that he is happy for you. We are always glad to see a personal best for you :) When and where will the pumpkin be carved? Do you have any results for the weigh off?

Congratulations Dwaine. I got to chat with Dwaine at the Cooperstown's weigh-off. About doing things different in my patch and with some of the problems I have had. He sure does know his stuff when it comes to gardening.

I have no final OTT facts. Three weeks from the finish it became impossible for me to measure due to a knee injury. Honestly that is an oversight on my part for which I apologize. Someone else did that at the weigh-off. I did not think to capture the missing interest facts for some of you. You will perhaps never know just how happy I was to be able to be there and enjoy the fellowship.
