I have seeds from my first giant from 2 years ago that was 132 lbs. The seeds are in my closet in a sealed plastic container, and are in great condition. They are a darker kind of orange like color, and are not hollow inside. I am checking to see if they still germinate. I am debating what to do with them, if I should use them as squirrel food, or if maybe someone might actually want some of them??

If viable I may take some.

Thanks!

Ok, that's great. I will hopefully find out in a couple of days.

A couple times a year you'll see some people post looking for large quanity of seeds, genetics don't matter. What is the cross?

If they are a unique or desirable cross or the fruit gave you cause to think they hold promise, then you need to get some grown. Otherwise we give away seeds like this at our weigh-off & other events where we are trying to find new growers.

It is my first from a 400-600 variety package of seeds I had bought from Howard Dill's site.

I started with those too. With unknown genetic background finding someone who wants a bunch of seeds to give away is your best bet. More than one person will be looking for seeds like these on this board before next season.

Well, the one I tested "hatched" er sprouted yesterday, so they are still viable for those who wants any. Just let me know. I had this seed tried in that wet napkin thing I saw some people do on here.

You know there are always people who want seeds! I never get a giant, and the people who take the seeds may never grow em....but if...just if.. by throwing one of those seeds in the tomato garden they get a 120 lb pumpkin.......We got em hooked....don't you know you've joined the BP cartel and as such must hook one person a year!!! I wish I had viable seeds to give out!
