I'm planning on using this method of seed drying. Can I just wash the seeds real good, dry them in a cloth bath towel, and put them in the dehydrator at low heat? Any cautions or advice would be appreciated.

Doug, I wash mine off with a really light dish liquid soap , dry them off with a towel, put them on a screen and let a fan blow on them for 24 hours then Ill put them in the dehydrator on the lowest setting at 90 degrees. It usually takes them a total of three days to dry and thats including the fan drying. You probably dont need to fan dry it but I like to get most of the water and dampness off the seed fan drying it before putting the heat to them. They always dry great for me this way.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, my pumpkin has no seeds in it. I can hopefully use your advice next year.
