Rhode Island rules. Congradulations to You ron and to dick too, for some of the largest pumpkins in the world. Kind of interesting how the U.S.'s smallests state is now home to the largest pumpkin.
1502 down, another 498 to 2000.

Congratulations!! That is one heck of a pumpkin!
I think we should start "diaries" that are related to each of the weighoffs. Similar to what Steve did for CT so we can see them all.
Great job again and WOW, WOW, WOW!

Fantastic!!! The 1500 pound mark is broken. A huge acheivement with Ron Wallace's solid pumpkin. Rhode Island rules. We can all learn alot from the way they grow together. A one ton pumpkin will be the next goal, and I believe now, that we'll see it. For now and the next year, let's savour Ron's accomplishment.....great, GREAT job!!!!!!

Ken was at the weigh-off today so he'll probably post some pictures of the WR Jutras L:ong Gourd, Dick's 1450 & Ronny's 1502 on the home page at some point. In the meanwhile you can see some of the pictures I took today at my Gallery here:

Sctoll through the Gallery entries for a partial cronological summary of the days events.
