Congradultaions to the Wallace family on their new 1502 pound world record pumpkin. Now that the 1500 pound (3/4 of a ton!) barrier was broken. When and by whom do you all think the 2000 pound (1-ton) barrier will be broken? Also what cross or what type of cross (ie: Sib, Open, Cross, etc.) will be a likely candidate?

lets all enjoy this barrier before we throw up another lol
i think the 1,600 pound barrier will take at least another two to three years ( if that soon ) 2,000 pounds is way to big to even immagine. especially whn you consider we only gain a few pounds each time we add a new world record

I agree with pap. 1500 lbs is a huge barrier. One that's been talked about for sometime. Lets celebrate it! I also think it could be a number of years before 1600 is broken.

1996-2006 10 years from 1000 to 1500. I predict somewhere around that many until we get to 1 ton
