wow, what a sngpg/gpc weigh off we held yesterday at frerichs farm in warren r.i.

a great sence of pride as a father along with a great day of accomplishment for sngpg members and growers the world over.

who would have thunk it. the smallest state with the biggest pumpkins ? plus first over 1,500 to boot.i can brag a bit to say it does not happen by accident. lots of work and research along the way.

ron and i are both kinda numb after these events. its something we all strive to attain and so few can ever experience.to be honest i to thought it would never happen for us either.

our hope is for everyone to at least once in there life experience this sort of "shock and awe".

its a great ,great, feeling. made even greater when you are surrounded by such good friends and family.
hang in there growers you could very well be next in line.

thank you

pap

Both of you absolutely deserve the shock and Awe
You are truly great ambasadors for this great sport.
I had the pleasure of seeing you both at Topsfield, taking first and third with 2 little pimpkins(lol). I was happy for you then and more happy for you now.
The people that took us to Topsfield had a saying, when they seen the giants, and it was Wicked Awsome.
So you guys and your pumpkins are (Wicked Awsome)

This summer has been like a book, every day was like a new page to read. There has always been something new and exciting happening. This has been the most wonderfull year I have had and it's been very educational as well. And I'm sure most of the growers have had the same experiance. As I have been in the shadows just reading and learning,It has been an adventure. And finaly as the season comes to a close and we get ready for the next year, there is a sort of sadness because the season has ended. Just when we started this spring and looked forward to this time of year.Someone has set new standards to meet and beat next year.

Good work guys, I can't imagin how much work it takes to get a pumpkin to grow over 1500 lbs.
I could only wish I could be part of the excitement.
Thanks for all the drama, Iw was very interesting.
Good luck in the comming years!
If anyone deserves it you guys do.

A hearty congratulations on behalf of all the Maine growers and myself. Couldn't think of a nicer family that is more deserving of this highest honor. The RI gang is a tight group that all clubs can learn from. You guys are the best, in every way now. Savor the day, you fellas certainly worked hard for it.
