Anyone know the results from the weighoff in Republic Missouri? I'm interested in the watermelon and pumpkin results. Their website hasn't been updated yet and the results haven't yet appeared in the gpc results here on bp.com. Thanks, Mark

The Greens got 1st and 2nd with #542.5 and #304 in the pumpkins... Dan Westfall 1st place watermelon at #215!! I got 4th in watermelon with #90.

Wow, what a change from last year. In 2005 I think 4 or 5 of the 7 largest watermelon weighed at gpc events were weighed in Republic. 542.5 for the winning pumpkin is quite a drop from last years winner at 838.5. Must've been a rough year for all growers in this area, I know it was for me. I only had two plants survive long enough to get pumpkins to day 10 and those plants were dead or dying before the pumpkins reached day 20. I'm glad to see that Dan took first place, I hear he's had some rough years lately. Thanks for the report Dave and congratulations on your watermelon!
