I added the remaining compost to my garden. I got some stuff in the spring from our city which consisted of ground tree limbs, leaves, grass, etc. It really turned into good stuff. But as I was working with the compost that had been sitting all year, I noticed a lot of grubs in this mix. I also noticed termites eating the wood chips. Is there anything I can do next year to prevent these critters from exsisting in my compost pile. I plan on getting around 40 to 60 yards of this stuff and letting it sit all year to finish composting. I am just not sure of adding all of these grubs into my garden.....?????????

I don't know how the grubs will directly affect your patch, but one thing I do know is that grubs in your soil will attract moles....deadly enemy of the giant pumpkin.

if the compost gets up to the correct temp the grubs will not survive, neither will the termites
