I think the welding part is clear from most of the descriptions here, but does someone have more information with pictures about the belts? Especially about how the bottom belt around the fruit is fixed (I think much is depending on the proper function of this one so the pumpkin will not slip away while lifting).
I´m looking to build something for quick, safe and easy usage during the weigh-off. Thank you.

Floh.............I tried to send you an E. If you do not get it tell me here or you E me to open communication. I am in the status of changing my E and my ISP. There have been some difficulties.

One thing I see people doing wrong is that a lifting ring should help spread out the straps so there's less lateral stress on the pumpkins. I see alot of little rings that just hold straps...they dont spread them out much. Might as well just use a U-bolt or whatever they are called(like Waterman's setup). I think you're much safer with a ring thats 18inches in diameter or better.

It looks to me like one other advantage of the ring is that it keeps the straps spread out and separated. I have small pumpkins for which I rigged up a rope harness and keeping the ropes spread out was difficult. They really only kept in place once there was pressure on them from lifting. A ring of some sort would have helped. Although, like I said, my pumpkins were too small to need it.
