I Thank everyone for the help, hints, suggestions in getting us off to a successful event at Jareds Weigh Off.

A 5 second TV spot, 20 pumpkins to look at, even long gourds....

I think a few personal bests were logged to. LongMont Pete, Long Beard, Steve Grande...... and several new growers......we got at least 30 people interested in growing next year also. And brought together old time and new growers to a very successful event.
Congrats to LongBeard on his new personal best .......329 lbs.....Great Job Kirk......

And the Ole Wiz grew over 1000 lbs in his back yard (700 Sqft) it took 5 kins to do so....lol 369, 325, 220, 132, 124 = 1170 lbs.... but not bad for what the hail tried to take away.
Next year LongBeard and The Wiz will be growing BIG......enough of this small stuff!
We have folks to the south to beat.......Watch out Springs!
And Thanks for coming up.....see you next year on Sept 29th a Jareds!!!

Thanks Gary for a good event, and hopefully next years will be an even bigger success when I bring an even bigger monster up...lol, as this years fruits were small ones.Six months left until until seed start time..JK

We Look to do even a better event next year....We have over 30 people requesting seeds locally, 10 out of state, 5 out of the country. Requests for getting the kiddies started so our initial dream is getting under way. Those seeds from UdaKan and Peace Wayne now get to go to some good homes......Jareds has already told me the date for next years weigh off so look for the count down clock to restart in Colorado. We had a great year getting started and next year we hoping for that State Record to come toppling down! Hopefully we got our crappy weather year out of the way......
LongBeard and the Wiz......well those two will still be going at each other......Lb set a new PB....and the Wiz well......ask LB....he'll tell ya what The Wiz predicted before the hail doth fell............ Focus...always looka eyes..
