so who grew the biggest in new jersey in 2006 ?

I grew one to 355 which won the weighoff at the SJ Pumpkin Show, however I know for a fact that there was a bigger pumpkin (600-700) sitting up in Mt Laurel looking for a ride to the show.

Hi Mudcat, Congratulations. I was talking to you at the show in Millville on Saturday morning. What was the cash pay-out for First Place? Did your son win 1st Place in his division?

Wow..that was you? It is a small world after all I guess!!
The payout was $500 which should partially finance my obsession (hobby) for the next year. I also made the front page of a couple of the local newspapers ( I guess that it must have been a slow news day!!!). Yes my son took first place in the kids division. I have to stop teaching him all the tricks or soon he will be outgrowing me!!!

Wiz, Thanks, I need a boost in order to chase down the NJ record. It is a long way off from where I stand.

Garden State Pumpkins

621 UOW ...My Truck just couldn't make the trip. SJ pumpkin weigh off was 120 miles away..had to leave it there friday nite and pick it back up on Sunday...Just to much for the old guy to do...Weighed it here at a local Chemical company. I had a great year with a PB well over 200 lbs bigger then the last one. will get some pics in soon.
