I took out my seeds from the 292 last week and washed and set them on paper towels to dry. I also finished removing all of the clear flaky film that is on the seeds, as it holds moisture on the seed. I noticed some have brown spots/streaks, discoloration, whatever you want to call it. Is this a normal thing on seeds?? Will my seed be ok. My seeds are almost dry and will be left out until I am sure they are completely dry. Thanks

Umm sounds like a bit of mold perhaps, was the pumpkin solid?

Re-wash the seed about five minutes in a 10% Clorox and water. That will cause you to dry them another couple days.

It was starting to rot. WIll the solution wipe the brown off, or is it a permanent stain.

The solution is a bleach. It is a mild fungicide when used this way. Most light stains will bleach out.
