Yes, it's true. These are just some of the seeds up for raffle in the annual GVGO raffle. Check out our club web-site for a complete prize list. www.gvgo.ca This may be the only opportunity for the average grower to get a hold of some of these seeds. The prize list has so far about 100 seeds that have kicked out an 1000# pumpkin or more and the list will grow until the raffle ends.Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Makes a great Christmas stocking stuffer ;0)

We decided to buck the trend & offer the growers that can't afford the auction prices a chance at some great seeds. At the auctions, it's only the wealthier growers that get the big named seeds. We might not make as much money, but we love it when everyone wins something. Last year everyone that entered won at least one seed. It was a win-win situation for all. Thanks to those growers who supported us last year. We hope that you'll continue your support & wish all ticket purchasers the best of luck in the draw. Thanks.

Over 50% of the seeds listed came directly from Al Eaton's collection. He's retired from growing pumpkins & will concentrate his efforts on long gourds. He could have sold them, but thought 1st about the local club, instead of lining his own pocket. His donation will help with our fundraising efforts for the next couple years. Thank you very much Al, from all of us here at the GVGO.

I got my first proven seed ever last year in the raffle and will definately do it again this year. I have a pretty strong feeling I'm not going to be able to afford that 842 Eaton coming up this Sunday.

I suppose I should put the full club web-site on this board.
