The 1179 Kline was grown on the 735 Pukos (836 Calai x self) but there may very well be other bigger fruit.

1179 Kline '04, 1178 Wentzell '03, 1143 Colbert '03, 1131.5 Pitura '05, 1083.5 Johnson '02, 1042 Companion '04 and the 1002 Carter '03, just to name a few off the 735 Pukos! Making and/or growing selfed/sibbed seeds is just not as exciting as other crosses. I do believe however, more growers have started doing both with a little more frequency. I also believe the 1450 Wallace, with all the excitement surrounding the 1068 and 1502, will see a good planting this next spring, furthering the proof that selfed/sibbed seeds can be just as hot as their "exciting" crossed counterparts. Many of the "selfed seed fears" from years ago, continue to wain as more and more selfed seeds get grown. I may be wrong, but I personally believe the 895.5 Hester seed has done more in this regard than any other one seed...so far. BF

I know there are several 895.5 x self outthere, including my own 507...what has been grown off of these?

I got this info off the Indiana Pumpkin Growers Association website: 1245 Bailey 02 (790 Dalentas X Self). Very good question.

Our selfed 895.5 Hester produced our 834* which was selfed and produced our above mentioned 823*.

cool... I was thinking about selfing a seed next year, with the hope that it could grow something big the following year.
