You've got me all excited now too.
I don't know if I'm quite excited enough to post in the other thread too though. ;)

Seriously I just sent my membership dues out this week to SNGPG and SOGPG and can't wait to see what the newsletters are all about.
It's like waiting for Christmas, only you don't know which day Christmas will arrive.

I dont get the pvgp newsletter so i cant comment but i will say this.
That complimentary newsletter sent to me from the gvgo was one of the best i have ever read.
We put a lot of pride in sending along interesting stories and useful grower information in our newsletter.
That one i read from the gvgo matches it article for article.
Great job everyone involved.

If by the pvgp newsletter you mean the PGVG. Thank you! It takes a lot of hard work to make a document that is full of useful information as well as being pleasing to the eye. It is nice to recieve compliments and thank you's whenever possible. Good work by all the clubs!

Dick & Gary, thank you for the kind words. We here at the GVGO have tried to keep our members informed of all the latest news coming out of the pumpkin communtity. I also get both the SNGPG & PGVG newsletters & enjoy them very much. Both are filled with really great info that will help any grower increase their weights. Thanks guys for all your hard work putting them together. It's growers like you that keep this hobby growing to the heights we see today. I've learned lots from both those club's newsletters. I haven't received the recent SNGPG newsletter yet, but I sure look forward to reading it.

There is another newsletter I read from one of the clubs in the US, but can't remember which club did it or sent it to me. I'm thinking Michigan or Indiania, but can't be sure. It was a great read as well.

In the next GVGO edition we will start to report news from around the World. We'll be adding articles from Danny Dill (Eastern Canada), Brad Wursten (Overseas) & hopefully one from Western Canada. Ed Robinette covers all the news from the US as well. This is just one of the ways to keep our membership well informed of the current events World wide. I want to thank all our reporters for their help putting the newsletter together. We couldn't do it without you.

"Both are filled with really great info that will help any grower increase their weights."

That's what it's all about right there!

I just received my SNGPG newsletter Today and it is Very Impressive. Now here is a team of people who know how to put together a newsletter.

I loved all of the articles, but I think what i liked seeing most was the article by Joe Jutras. Joe's went into some detail on what he had done in the garden over the season to get his new record long gourd.
Many, Many props to Mr. Jutras!!!

Pap. I would love to see the same type of article written on how you started from breaking new ground to achieving the World's Record. Basically your years dairy on paper.
It would be a must read for all in this hobby.
That article added to the next news letter would bring many new members to the NHGPG.

Of course the article on seed selection was also GOLD!
