Its up to the plant and the soil but I think 4-5. The problem is, you'll probably have an 1100 lber suck the nutrients out of another one nearby and so they'll all end up different sizes, possibly above or below the size you want. But yeah see if you can hit 3k or 4k total lbs. Interesting.

If the BES fruit wasn't that old, and it looks like the plant is still pretty vigorous, I think you're in good shape. If all these new ones are within a few days old of each other, I can see 6x 700+ on the plant. It's a very interesting math problem for sure, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

With the top notch care you give! I wouldn't be surprised if you grew 7 pumpkins in the 700 plus weight range.

Before I answer why do they have to be 700 lbs. plus for regatta? Most of our winners over the years have paddled ones 500-700 lb. size and we usually had 40 or so competitors. Generally take in account of size of paddler, etc.
