Very valid point Russ...no vacations, unless a grower has a teammate to cover while away. Dad preached that to so many new growers back in the day who were serious wanting to grow a record pumpkin. Because if something can go wrong at a critical time be about the time grower is away unfortunately. Usually a storm hits, wildlife strike, insect/decease starts to happen, etc.
