Nick fingers are crossed for you. If it is still growing, there is hope. In my experience once they stop growing you are doomed. IF they are growing, they can heal.

Had you sprayed any peroxide on this area before? I got a similar spot on one of one and think it was some kind of peroxide "burn"

Jamie, I don't think i had before this point. The pumpkin is still growing daily so I have no idea what to think.

Tough to wrap your head around some of the signs on a pumpkin and what's going on? We had a 2560 GIENGER going great last year our biggest at the time. Never any signs of trouble until it stopped growing unfortunately around a 1,000 lbs. at the time. After a week or so decided to take it out. The bottom underneath went soft. Just one of the many things that can go wrong that we all experience over the years. Nothing to do with the seed, especially this one. Possibly some of the heat waves we are going through could be a factor? Just hope it keeps on plugging away for you. Best of luck.
