Hey Jamie It is my theory that Yellow vine disease can sometimes be very subtle and hard to identify. especially in a well cared for mature plant that has plenty of roots and has been given plenty of phosphite and perhaps other things like actinovate, companion or rootshield. I also believe that there was a year my plants contracted yellow vine disease and I was able to keep my pumpkins from aborting with lots of phosphite. I wonder if there are strains of the YVD bacteria that are more deadly and produce strong symptoms like the wilting (which often won't occur in the above scenario I mentioned)

Or perhaps we are seeing some level of resistance in certain plants?

Hey! That's a very interesting point. It's definitely been well cared for and received so off the above. I think that the secondaries going straight up is a strong sign for me, and it looks a little different than a vine that's just terminating itself. I would love it if some plants had resistance. I'm going to have to go to netting next year. It's such a frustrating disease
