This morning it appears that the stem stress issue is better & growth has not slowed down. Another 50 pound gain since yesterday morning!

Russ!!! I thought you learned last year to not use the high strength peroxide! Pretty sure the over-the-counter stuff will get the job done without any risk to yourself or your pumpkin.
