I think I figured out what was causing my slow growth. This has been my first year growing in a 10'x20' greenhouse and it seems like I underestimated just how much I would have to water to adequately replicate the soil moisture you would get from rain. I was hand watering about a gallon every day or two at each planting site which seemed like it was enough initially. I then took a soil core about 18" away from my 1727 Jacobus and realized it was bone dry. That would explain the sluggish growth! I have super fast draining soil so that water wasn't sticking around for long. I have switched to the drip lines and will be watering 20 minutes 3x a day from now on.
