I think Claude is correct on the gummy stem blight diagnosis. The spot you saw in the picture is past the pumpkin so I just cut the main about 2' after the fruit (Only losing about 2% of the plant). There is only one suspect spot before the pumpkin on which I applied chlorothalonil and a fan. I will also apply azoxystrobin as a drench to hopefully stop it from progressing.
