I did a test run of fifteen seeds and not a single one germinated. The seeds seemed really warm so I put a different thermometer in the cooler and it read well over 100 degrees. Apparently the thermostat for the heating pad had gone bad so I replaced and repeated the test. This time I had 100% germination. This really shows the importance of making sure all of your equipment is working properly. It would have been a colossal disaster if I had waited until April and lost my 1874.5 Mathison.
