I just discovered the bottom of my pumpkin molded and rotted. I had it sitting on sand, what should I use instead?

Thin plywood works for me you can spread a little sand on it when the kin is small and IF you need to make some adjustments when the pumpkin is bigger it moves better on a coating of sand .

You can use a mill fabric,,, but make sure water can get through the fabric
