            | Brigitte | | now i'm no expert on long gourds by any means. in fact, i've never grown them. but i got to wondering during one of my late nights, pondering the meaning of life etc..LOL...and i got to wondering, couldn't you just tie little weights to the end of the gourd to have gravity help it stretch out a little bit? maybe it's against the rules ha ha. | 9/25/2003 1:13:46 AM |

            | Sequoia-Greg | porterville, calif. | I have seen that done when Loufa Sponges are grown. They tie a 1 or 2 oz. weight to the ends to make them grow straight instead of being curly. Ive seen some at about 6ft long. The weight just might stretch them out a little. But it does work to keep them straight... Greg | 9/25/2003 4:14:01 AM |
