I love seeing the pumpkin off in the distance of your gorgeous patch!
Do you think the flowers helped in keeping aphids and spider mites away? Love the idea! I could put flowers at the entrance of my greenhouse if you think this helped in anyway?

So.Cal, I can't say how much the marigolds have helped, but I believe there is at least a small benefit. I haven't had any trouble with aphids this year, probably a combination of pesticides, marigolds and luck. After I lost the other plant to yellow vine disease I'm trying anything to save this one from the same fate.
