Maples around here are amongst the trees with the densest foliage. What does full blue sky but no sun provide, according to your measuring device, if I may be so curious? So in other words, full indirect light? Google says it would be 100-300. Your diary is full of insight for growers!

jamieg- Glad you liked the post.
Little Ketchup- There would be a lot of variability. Under a tree (as shown here) is the extreme example so I would say your 100-300 is probably on the low side at least mid day. It takes a little while to get the content posted, but you (and others) view it as worth while.
