I know a little about tomatoes but I've never considered the petal count. I have no idea.

I am with Porkchop and never have counted petals especially if I have to lift the blossom with one hand and need to count over 5! I don't usually get huge blossoms but did get one last year that I was over the moon on. It grew to just a little over 4 pounds. My 2 "ho hum" blossoms ended up over 8 pounds.

I used to count sepals. But equally important would be the growth speed and stem thickness. That one looks like 3-6 lbs depending how fat you can get it before it ripens. THere is a lot of variability that mostly hinges on how plump you get them. In the end a very plump single can equal the weight of a scrawny mega.
