Every grower has and always will need some luck make it to the scales. Back in the days when Gordon Thompson from Quebec took his giant to New York for a weigh off, a new WR I believe at time 1989 at 755 lbs. had a great saying regarding growing AGs. You need good seed, good soil, good weather and good luck! Sounds about right I'd say.
