The fan on the stem of the pumpkin can be seen on the left-hand side of the image. The odd black rectangle in the center of the image is the humidity sensor and on the far-right hand side the black container holds the soil sensor data logger and readout.
Overall, the plant looks great, weed control is spot on and vine burying/top root formation all checks out. Unfortunately, this will all be removed today despite the hot and humid weather, so this is one last look at the plant 40 days after the pumpkin was pollinated.
