Day 40 Pumpkin Cut-Away Inspection (F:2287 Sadiq ‘22 x M: 2365 Wolf ’21 (from Ron Wallace))
This cut down the middle was made very close to the actual split but did not go directly through it and the overall wall thickness does not seem especially thin at the blossom end. Yes, it is thinner at the blossom end, but not paper thin to think it would have ended with a split into the cavity.
The rest of the pumpkin (and plant) seemed to be in great shape, but the end result is only as strong as the weakest point.
